The Dark Tower

Inspired by The Dark Tower series by Stephen King. This is an interpretation of Eddie's dream. He sees the tower on a field of roses with a blue sky behind it.

Although this is a photo manipulation it involved a lot of drawing. The original tower image was of only a fraction of the tower you see here and it didn't have any windows. The only meadow with red flowers I could find was of poppies so all the roses have been put in by me. There are literally hundreds of masks in this image to blend it all together. LOL I love The Dark Tower series and wanted to get it right. :-)

Spring diptychs and new calendar

The weather has been awful and grey for weeks. When the sun came out this morning I just had to take some pictures of the first signs of Spring. I can't wait for more! :-)

New Calendar - From the Depths of My Heart
Created with my recent triptychs and available from Redbubble. Remember - you can get all triptychs in a (useful calendar) for the price of one matted print of one of the triptychs... a bargain! :-)

Love Hurts - Triptych

...Lost in your heart, lost in your eyes
Lost every day, no map to follow
Entire days, weeks, a blur
Flickers of light, in the darkness,
Only to be enveloped in shadows once more...

Lady Madonna - Triptych - Photo Manipulation

Inspired by the Beatles song Lady Madonna, especially those two lines:
"Lady Madonna, lying on the bed,
Listening to the music playing in her head.
"
The song referenced in the window above the sofa is of course Octopus's Garden :-)

This image took three days (!) because it fought me every step of the way and went through some radical changes during the process. LOL
