My friend Caroline over on Uniqart has just started a new blog: Ups About Downs, where she'll be sharing her experiences, tips and info about bringing up a child with Down's Syndrome.
Caroline has brought up her own daugher with Downs and got her through mainstream school all the way into college and also works as a Learning Support Assistant) in a mainstream infant school. It's a great way to get info that might not be in the books or being readily available elsewhere on the net and I think it's a brilliant idea. Go over and have a look if you're interested. :-)
Here's another of the commissions I've been given for an octopus. This time all in green with a matching green ribbon to hang him up:
This one is larger than the one from the complete mobile (about 30cm tall from top to the end of his tentacles). I've used green beads instead of clear beads and in the light they shimmer like green gold. Totally magic.
If you'd like one for yourself, just send me an e-mail or leave a comment. :-) Go on, treat yourself. ;-)
Check out the lastest Pink Panther Magazine - it's based on a group on Redbubble and full of fab articles about artists, art and writing to do with women, including a feature on yours truly starting on page 28. :-)
I've been busy writing articles for Touched by Fire - a blog based on another Redbubble group which I co-host.
